For this price, there simply isn’t anything better. You also save money as you do not need a dedicated computer which is required for most CCTV systems. Once set-up the IP server system can function without a PC. With this system you can get your top of the range security system running in an hour which would otherwise cost you thousands of pounds.
The IP server support 7 cameras in total, 3 wired and 4 wireless. Only 4 wireless cameras included with this set-up, but wired cameras can be added during purchase.
Two 250gb external USB storage devices / hard disks can be connected to the IP camera server for saving of video, to which the system can record many 30 sec long videos on motion detection. The hard disks are not included.

-How the cameras are powered?
Cameras are 12v powered. A power transformer is supplied with each camera that can be plugged into a standard 110-240v power socket.
-Does the system only record when motion is detected?
The unit can record in two modes; continuous or in motion detection.
In motion mode cameras monitor constantly, only the unit starts recording once motion is detected. The video can still be seen remotely in motion mode even if there isn’t any motion.
-How much video it can record?
The unit can approximately record 2 hours of video per 1gb of hard disk space (at 640x480 resolution 30 FPS), Therefore 2 x 250gb hard disks will hold more than a month of continuous video. (USB Hard Disks are not supplied)
-What’s the camera range?
The range is 30 meters from the IP server. The range depends on the thickness/density of the walls and other obstructions as well as interference from other wireless or electrical devices. Longer range wireless cameras are available on our website, please email to upgrade, £25 extra per camera. Please note the stronger the camera, the more likely it is to interfere with you wireless router.

The cameras are not waterproof but water-resistant. If you need to install them outside you can do so but you need to provide some cover from a direct rain.
-Do you have alternative cameras that can work with this system?
Yes, all cameras on our website will work with this system.
